Terms of service

The short version

Plumerie is a personal library management tool. You own your data. We provide the service. Be reasonable, and we’ll do the same.

1. What Plumerie is

Plumerie is a web-based personal library management tool operated by Avec Nous, a company based in Helsinki, Finland. It helps you organize, track, and share your book collection.

The service is available at app.plumerielibrary.com and the marketing website at plumerielibrary.com.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Plumerie. You can create one with your email address or by signing in with Google.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, let us know immediately.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Your data

You own your data. The books, notes, tags, ratings, locations, and other information you add to Plumerie belong to you.

You can export your data as a CSV file at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

We store your data to provide the service. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. What you can do

You can use Plumerie to:

• Catalog and organize your personal book collection
• Share your library with family members
• Track books you lend and borrow
• Import and export your library data
• Use any features available on your plan (free or premium)

5. What you can’t do

Please don’t:

• Use Plumerie for anything illegal
• Try to access other people’s accounts or data
• Upload harmful content (malware, spam, offensive material)
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute Plumerie’s software
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-access the service
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free tier limits

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Free and premium plans

Plumerie offers free and premium plans. Free plans are free forever — we will not remove features from free plans or force you to upgrade.

Premium plans (when available) are billed annually or as a one-time lifetime payment. Prices are listed in euros (EUR) on our pricing page.

7. Refunds

If you purchase a premium plan and are not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Contact us and we’ll process it — no questions asked.

8. Cancellation

You can cancel a premium subscription at any time. Your premium features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free plan. Your data is never deleted because of a plan change.

9. Changes to the service

We’re actively building Plumerie. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time. We’ll do our best to communicate significant changes in advance through our changelog and by email for changes that affect your account.

10. Availability

We aim to keep Plumerie available and reliable, but we can’t guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.

11. Limitation of liability

Plumerie is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep your data safe and the service running, but we are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or any damages arising from your use of Plumerie.

We strongly recommend keeping regular backups of your library using the CSV export feature.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes to these terms, we’ll notify you by email or through the app. Your continued use of Plumerie after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
